Quality Techniques
We use joist tape on every deck. It costs about $200 more per project, but we have never had a joist failure on any deck we have built since 2016. We use double flashing at every wall connection.
We use screw-only fastening. No nails. And we use picture frame trim boards for a clean finished edge. A lot of builders skip all of that.

We stand behind our work with a 1 year workmanship warranty. Materials carry manufacturer warranties that we pass through to you.

What Makes Building in Clyde Different
Clyde sits at approximately 2,700 feet elevation between Canton and Waynesville along the Pigeon River. That elevation creates specific building challenges. The frost line is much deeper here than in lower areas.
We routinely dig 3 feet or more to get below frost line on deck footings.
The build season is shorter at this elevation. Spring thaw happens later and early winter weather moves in sooner. We plan projects around the weather window and we will tell you if that affects your timeline.
Haywood County requires permits for decks over 30 inches or attached to the house. We handle the full permit process, and we know the county inspectors and what they look for. Most of Clyde's lots have some slope or terrain challenge.
We have built on riverfront properties, hillsides, and rural mountain properties where the grade changes across the lot.
Haywood County enforces the North Carolina Residential Code. We stay current on those requirements for every project we pull a permit for in the county.
